Run a routine when something happens in an app

Choose On an app event to start a routine when something new arrives, like an email, a Slack message, a new page in Notion or a new row in a Google Sheet.

1. Pick the app. It has to be connected first (Connected Apps).
2. Pick the event, for example "New email".
3. Narrow it if you like, for example only emails matching a search, or one Slack channel.
4. Describe what the agent should do with each new item, then save and switch it on.

Good to know

• New items can take a few minutes to arrive. For email it can be up to about 15 minutes.
• The routine's Runs tab shows recent events and what happened to each.
• On the free plan, app events are capped at 20 a day per workspace.
