How a task runs
Updated
A task is one job for one agent. Every piece of work your team does, from a chat request, New task or a routine, becomes a task in Tasks.
The stages
- Backlog: waiting to start. A task with a start time starts by itself at that time; one without stays parked until you move it on.
- Queued: waiting for its agent to pick it up, usually within moments.
- In progress: the agent is working. Waiting on teammate means it asked another agent for help and is waiting for the answer.
- Needs you: waiting for your approval, answer or review, or it stopped on a problem.
- Done: delivered.
- Closed: ended without delivering: you rejected it, stopped it, or accepted that it couldn't be done.
Views and filters
Switch between the list and the board with the buttons at the top right. The tabs (Needs you, Running, Backlog, Done, Closed, All) and the search and agent filters narrow the list.
On the board you can drag a card: drop it in Queued to start it now, or in Backlog to park it.
Tasks have no due dates: an agent starts as soon as a task is queued. To start one job later, choose Later when you make it, or ask an agent. For work that repeats, use a routine.
